What is the state of be-ing?
It is human nature to seek to unplug, to nurture our inner introvert, and to be comfortable in silence. Many of us have practiced meditation, guided imagery, yoga, and other energy modalities to reach a place of peace or be-ing. To arrive at be-ing is to arrive at the place of acceptance. It is surrendering to your natural flow and vibe. After a blissful sound healing session, a friend once reminded me that this state is your natural state, one you can return to at any time.
How do you reach the state of be-ing?
The state of be-ing is an active one, one which requires an effort and intention to reach and maintain. Your path to the state of be-ing will be as unique as your DNA. Play, discover, and explore the many routes you can take to get there.
Experiment with some of these paths to be-ing if you’re not sure where to begin.

Surprises and discoveries
Once you experience it, you may be surprised by how much you have craved and even require this place of be-ing. As an extrovert, I love being with people and participating in social events, but a vacation to Alaska reminded me of my need for solitude and space for just be-ing. Alaska’s raw beauty, the exposure to the elements, and the expansiveness of undisturbed nature offer peace and tranquility, but it’s a powerful energy. I needed the energetic and physical space of be-ing to ground me; to my surprise, I felt a need to foster my inner introvert for a while. Only then could I re-enter the energy of being in gatherings with other people.
I encourage you to be open to discoveries you make along your path to be-ing. You may be surprised, as I was to discover that your introverted self needs time to recover and re-calibrate before assimilating new knowledge and experiences.
An amazing world exists for you when you open yourself up to just be-ing. Have fun exploring.
